General

SustainChain is a B2B marketplace that connects farmers, manufacturers, and sellers committed to sustainable supply chain practices. Our platform makes it easy to source, list, and purchase eco-friendly products and raw materials.

Anyone can browse the marketplace and information hub. To list products, manage orders, or leave reviews, you need to create a free account. We support four roles: Farmer, Manufacturer, Seller, and Buyer.

Yes, creating an account and browsing the platform is completely free. There are no listing fees for products or raw materials.

Accounts & Roles

Farmers typically list raw materials they grow or harvest. Manufacturers process raw materials into finished products and can create portfolios to showcase their work. Sellers list products for sale on the marketplace. Buyers can browse and purchase from any seller, manufacturer, or farmer.

Roles are set during registration and cannot be changed by users directly. If you need to update your role, please contact us through the Contact Us page and an administrator will assist you.

Click "Forgot password?" on the login form. Enter the email address associated with your account and you will receive a password reset link via email. The link is valid for 7 days.

Products & Listings

After logging in, go to "Your Listings" from the dropdown menu under your name. From there you can add new products or raw materials with details such as name, price, quantity, description, and an image.

Yes, products and raw materials can be tagged with labels like "Organic" or "Healthy" to help buyers find what they are looking for. Tags are managed by administrators.

You can upload images in common formats such as PNG, JPG, and WEBP. A clear product photo helps attract buyers.

Orders & Payments

Browse the marketplace, add items to your cart, then proceed to checkout. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Once payment is confirmed, your order is recorded and the seller is notified.

You can browse and add items to your cart without logging in. However, you will need to create an account or log in to complete checkout and track your orders.

After logging in, click your name in the navigation bar and select "Order History". Sellers, manufacturers, and farmers can also view orders received for their products under "Received Orders".

Portfolios

Portfolios allow manufacturers to curate and showcase collections of products. Think of them as themed product bundles that highlight your capabilities and range.

Currently, only users with the Manufacturer role can create and manage portfolios. All users can browse portfolios through the "Discover Innovators" page.

Information Hub & Reviews

The Information Hub is a directory of all businesses on SustainChain. You can filter by role (Farmer, Manufacturer, Seller) and click on any business to view their full profile, listings, and reviews.

Any logged-in user can leave a star rating (1 to 5) and an optional written review on a business profile. You cannot review your own business. Reviews help the community identify trustworthy and high-quality partners.

At the moment, reviews cannot be edited or removed by users. If you believe a review is inappropriate, please contact us and an administrator will look into it.
